About Primary Teacher Store

What is Primary Teacher Store?

Primary Teacher Store is dedicated to providing high-quality, practical digital resources designed specifically for Year 1 and Key Stage 1. We understand the demands of teaching and the need for ready-to-use materials that save you time while engaging your students in real primary classrooms.

What is your mission?

We believe every teacher deserves access to excellent teaching resources that make classroom life easier. Our digital downloads are created to support your teaching, inspire your students, and help you focus on what matters most—educating young minds.

How are your resources created?

We embrace modern technology to create our resources efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. We use AI tools to assist in developing our digital teaching materials, and then every resource is carefully reviewed, edited and quality-checked to ensure it is appropriate for primary classroom use.

Our AI-assisted approach allows us to:

  • Create diverse, engaging content quickly
  • Offer resources at accessible prices
  • Respond to feedback and requests efficiently
  • Maintain consistent quality across all materials

All content is reviewed to make sure it’s practical, age-appropriate and aligned with teaching best practices.

How do you ensure quality?

Whether created with AI assistance or more traditional methods, every resource in our store is designed with teachers and students in mind. We’re committed to providing materials that work in real classrooms and support effective teaching.

Who are your resources perfect for?

Our printable resources are ideal for:

  • Busy Year 1 and KS1 teachers who want engaging, ready-to-print activities
  • Teaching assistants supporting small groups and interventions
  • Home educators looking for curriculum-aligned worksheets and colouring pages for younger primary children
  • Tutors who need clear, visual resources for 1:1 or small-group sessions with early primary learners
How can I get in touch with you?

We’d love to hear from you! Whether you have questions, feedback or resource requests, please contact us at info@primaryteacherstore.co.uk.

Curriculum, Age Groups & Suitability

Which age groups / year groups are your resources for?

Most resources are designed with Year 1 and Key Stage 1 (ages 5–7) in mind. Many products are labelled for specific year groups.

Some resources may be adaptable for other primary classes, but the main focus of Primary Teacher Store is on Year 1 / KS1.

How do I know if a specific resource is right for my class?

Each product description clearly states the suggested year group and/or key stage, and often references the relevant National Curriculum topic. But, no one knows your class better than you do so only purchase resources that you feel will work for your class.

Digital Products & Downloads

Are your products physical or digital?

All products sold at Primary Teacher Store are digital downloads only – no physical items are shipped.

What do I receive when I place an order?

Depending on the product, you’ll usually receive:

  • PDF files (e.g. worksheets, colouring pages, posters)
  • PNG files (e.g. display letters, clipart)
  • Sometimes a ZIP folder containing multiple files

You download these files and print them yourself.

How do I get my downloads?

After a successful payment you will:

  • See download links on the order confirmation page, and
  • Receive an email with a link to access your files

Download links are available for a limited time, so please download and safely store your files as soon as possible.

I haven’t received my download email – what should I do?
  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Check any other email addresses you may have used at checkout
  • If it’s still missing after 15 minutes, email us at info@primaryteacherstore.co.uk with your order number and name
How long do my download links stay active?

Download links are available for a limited time and/or number of downloads. We always recommend:

  • Downloading your files promptly
  • Backing them up to a secure location (e.g. your computer and/or cloud storage)

We’re not obliged to provide replacement links once a download link has expired, though we may do so at our discretion.

Do you update resources? Will I get the new version?

Occasionally we update resources to fix typos or improve layouts. If we make a significant update to a paid product you’ve bought recently, we’ll aim to email updated files or make them available in your account where possible.

What if I lose my files?

Please keep a backup of your downloads wherever possible. If you lose access shortly after purchase, email us with your order number and we’ll do our best to help, although we’re not obliged to provide replacement files once links have expired.

Licence & Allowed Use

What licence do I get when I purchase a digital product?

When you purchase a digital product from Primary Teacher Store, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the resource for your own personal or educational use, in line with our Terms of Service.

What am I allowed to do with the resources?

You may:

  • Print and use the resources in your own classroom
  • Use them with students you personally teach (whole class, groups or 1:1)
  • Use them with your own children at home

As long as you follow the licence restrictions below.

What am I NOT allowed to do?

You may not:

  • Share, distribute or transfer digital files to any third party (including colleagues, friends, or other parents)
  • Upload files to school servers, shared drives, file-sharing sites or public websites where others can access or download them
  • Resell, rent, lease or sublicense any digital products
  • Modify, adapt or create derivative works from our resources for resale or redistribution, unless you have our prior written permission
  • Remove or alter any copyright, branding or proprietary notices
  • Use our digital products for commercial purposes (including selling your own resources that incorporate our files) unless explicitly stated in the product description

Digital products are licensed for use by the purchaser only. Unauthorized distribution or resale is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of your licence.

If your school or organisation would like to use resources across multiple classrooms or staff members, please contact us to discuss licensing options.

Can my whole school use the resources if I buy them?

A standard licence is for one teacher / one classroom (or one home educator / family). If your school would like multiple teachers or classes to use the same resource, please contact us to discuss a school or multi-user licence.

Can I upload resources to Google Classroom, Seesaw or another online platform?

Yes – as long as access is restricted to your own pupils and other staff cannot download and reuse the original files. Uploading our files to any shared staff drive, resource bank or public website is not allowed under the standard licence.

Can I edit the resources?

You’re welcome to make small adaptations for your own teaching (for example: adding a date box, typing in pupil names, or annotating on an interactive whiteboard).

What isn’t allowed is editing our files to create new resources for resale or redistribution, or removing our branding/copyright notices. If you’d like a custom version, please get in touch.

Can I use your resources as a private tutor?

Yes. A standard licence lets one tutor use the resources with the pupils they personally teach (1:1 or small groups), including multiple families or clients. You must not share the digital files with parents, other tutors or schools, or include them inside products you sell.

Ordering, Payments & Taxes

What payment methods do you accept?

Payments are processed securely through Shopify. You’ll see available payment options (such as major debit/credit cards and any enabled digital wallets) at checkout.

What currency are your prices in?

All prices on primaryteacherstore.co.uk are shown in GBP (£). Your bank or card provider may convert the amount into your local currency and may apply a small conversion fee.

Will I be charged tax?

Any applicable taxes are calculated and shown at checkout before you pay, in line with our Shopify and legal tax settings.

Will anything be posted to me?

No. Our products are digital only, so there are no physical shipping charges, customs fees or postal delays.

Refunds & Cancellations

Do you offer refunds on digital downloads?

Because digital products are accessed immediately and cannot be “returned”, we do not normally offer refunds once a file has been downloaded. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge this digital download policy.

However, we will provide a full refund in the following situations:

  • You were charged twice for the same product (duplicate transaction)
  • You received an incorrect or corrupted file that we cannot resolve
  • Technical issues on our side prevented you from accessing your download
How do I request a refund?

If you believe you qualify for a refund, email info@primaryteacherstore.co.uk within 48 hours of purchase with:

  • Your order number
  • The email address used at checkout
  • A short description of the issue
  • Any relevant screenshots or error messages

We aim to review your request and respond within 3–5 business days. If approved, refunds are processed back to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

What about my 14-day right to cancel (UK/EU customers)?

Under UK/EU law, you usually have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. However, by choosing to access or download your digital content immediately after purchase, you expressly agree that the digital content is supplied right away and you waive your right of withdrawal once the download has started.

Printing & Technical Help

What paper size are your resources designed for?

Unless stated otherwise, resources are designed for A4 (standard in UK schools). Many will also print well on US Letter if you select “fit to page” or similar in your printer settings.

Why do colours/printouts look different from the preview?

Colours and appearance can vary based on:

  • Your screen and device settings
  • Your printer and ink/toner
  • Paper quality and type

We recommend printing on good-quality white paper or card and checking that your printer is set to a suitable quality mode.

The file won’t open – what can I do?

Most files are:

  • PDF – open with Adobe Acrobat Reader or similar
  • PNG – open with your default image viewer or insert into docs/slides
  • ZIP – a compressed folder that must be unzipped before use

If you’re having trouble:

  1. Make sure the file has fully downloaded
  2. Try opening it on a laptop/desktop rather than a phone/tablet
  3. Check you have a recent PDF viewer and enough storage space

If problems continue, email info@primaryteacherstore.co.uk with your order number, device type and a brief description of the issue, and we’ll be happy to help.

Custom Requests & Bundles

Do you take custom resource requests?

Sometimes! If you’d like a tweak to an existing resource (for example: different spellings or wording) or have an idea for a new pack that fits Year 1 / KS1, email us and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can do.

Do you offer bundles or discounts for multiple products?

We occasionally create discounted bundles and run special offers. The best way to hear about these is to join our email list or follow Primary Teacher Store on social media.

Accounts & Updates

Do I need an account to buy?

You can checkout as a guest, but creating an account lets you:

  • View your order history
  • Access eligible downloads from your account area
  • Save details for faster checkout next time

Free Resources

What is the “Free” section on Primary Teacher Store?

The Free section is a little treasure box of digital resources that didn’t quite make it into the main shop, but were far too good to delete. You’ll find trial designs, early versions and one-off ideas that are still perfectly usable in the classroom – all priced at £0.00.

Why are these resources free?

Sometimes a resource doesn’t fully fit a collection, uses an older style, is a slightly awkward size, or I’ve since created a more polished version for the main store. Rather than let those files gather digital dust, I’ve popped them here so teachers can still benefit from them at no cost.

Are free resources lower quality than the paid ones?

They’re still classroom-ready and printable, but they may not meet every standard I use for paid products. For example, they might:

  • Use an earlier illustration style
  • Have fewer pages or options than my paid resources
  • Not be part of a full matching set

Anything that’s truly unusable doesn’t make it onto the website at all.

Can I use the free resources in my classroom?

Yes. Free downloads can be used in your own classroom or home setting in the same way as my paid resources – to support your teaching and displays with your pupils.

What am I allowed to do with free resources?

In short: use them, but don’t resell or redistribute them.

You may:

  • Print them for use in your own classroom, home education, or tutoring
  • Share printed copies with pupils in your class

You may not:

  • Sell the files or printed copies
  • Upload the files to other websites, marketplaces or shared drives
  • Claim the artwork or resources as your own

They sit under the same general Licence & Allowed Use as the rest of Primary Teacher Store.

Do I need to pay or add card details to download a free resource?

No. Free products are priced at £0.00. You may need to go through the normal checkout so the system can send you a download link, but you won’t be charged and no payment is taken.

Will the free resources always stay free?

I can’t promise that every item will stay forever. Free resources may be updated, improved, moved into a paid collection or retired completely. If you spot something you like, it’s a good idea to download and save it while it’s available.

Will these free resources be updated or expanded?

Most of the time, free resources are offered “as-is” and won’t receive ongoing updates. If I create a more polished or extended version, that will usually appear as a paid product in the main collections instead.

Are the free resources aligned to the National Curriculum?

Many of the free items – such as display letters or simple printables – are designed to support common Year 1/KS1 topics, but they don’t always come with the full planning, mapping and guidance that my paid resources include. Think of them as handy extras and “nice-to-have” classroom boosts rather than full curriculum packs.

Can I request changes to a free resource?

You’re very welcome to send feedback or ideas – they’re really helpful when I’m planning future products. I can’t promise individual edits to free items, but popular suggestions may influence new or updated resources in the main shop.

How often is the Free section updated?

There’s no fixed schedule. New freebies appear whenever I have prototypes, test designs or almost-there ideas that don’t quite fit the main range. It’s worth checking back from time to time to see what’s been added.
